What We've Been Up To
While the government was in shutdown mode DH and I took the time to wallpaper, paint, hang some pictures, move a few things and he built a cabinet to replace a Murphy Bed in the office/ guest room. I also replaced the batteries in all the candles and set the timers 4hrs (5 to 9), it adds a comfy cozy feeling to our home.
How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was filled with some family; my sister, nephew and his spouse, our middle grandson plus his momma, our granddaughter plus her momma, of course Good eats were involved, and good conversations! Although my daughter's family couldn't be here, a good time was had by all.
Hard to believe Christmas is almost here. Are y'all ready? Me? Umm, well...NOPE!

》Remain: A Supernatural Love Story | Author: Nicholas Sparks and M. Night Shyamalan | Here
"When New York architect Tate Donovan arrives in Cape Cod to design his best friend’s summer home, he is hoping to make a fresh start. Recently discharged from an upscale psychiatric facility where he was treated for acute depression, he is still wrestling with the pain of losing his beloved sister. Sylvia’s deathbed revelation—that she can see spirits who are still tethered to the living world, a gift that runs in their family—sits uneasily with Tate, who struggles to believe in more than what reason can explain. But when he takes up residence at a historic bed-and-breakfast on the Cape, he encounters a beautiful young woman named Wren who will challenge every assumption he has about his logical and controlled world. Tate and Wren find themselves forging an immediate connection, one that neither has ever experienced before. But Tate gradually discovers that below the surface of Wren’s idyllic small-town life, hatred, jealousy, and greed are festering, threatening their fragile relationship just as it begins to blossom. Tate realizes that in order to free Wren from an increasingly desperate fate, he will need to unearth the truth about her past before time runs out...a quest that will make him doubt whether we can ever believe the stories we tell about ourselves, and the laws that govern our existence. Love—while transformative—can sometimes be frightening. A story about the power of transcendent emotion, Remain asks us all: Can love set us free not only from our greatest sorrows, but even from the boundaries of life and death?"

For the Holidays
Holiday Decor
Oh boy am I way late in posting this! This post was supposed to be published in September! But...better late than never. So, do you decorate for every holiday and season? Are you an only holiday decorator? Or do you decorate for the seasons and sprinkle in a little holiday? Maybe your like me; and decorate for holidays/seasons when or if you feel like it? Well, I have some ideas for you. They can be inexpensive, one doesn't require separate storage containers. They can save you time & money (we all like to save money). If you do decorate for every holiday and/or season you can add these, if you don't already.
Holiday/Seasonal Decorating Tips
6 Holiday/Seasonal Decorating Tips
1: shop your home before you purchase new holiday/ seasonal decor. You may have something you can Re-use! This is economical and it requires less stuff going to the landfill.
2: don't overspend on holiday decor that you will only use once (I've done this a few times over the years)
3: if you can make it yourself! DO SO! Again this can be economical.
4: If you buy new items try to find ones you can use for multiple holidays and/or season. Again economical and a space/storage saver.
5: Use pictures, reproductions you purchase through a online store, like (link). From Etsy where you can download and print them yourself (8x10 or smaller) or have them printed at office depot in larger sizes. Or ones you find at thrift stores/yard sales. The added plus? You can store them in the picture frame! I do this and I love it!
6: No matter what social media or influencers tell you . . . You don't have to decorate for the holidays differently every year! If you love the same look every year then so be it! You do you!
There you have it, 6 tips for decorating for all your Holidays/Seasons.
