HOME & LIFE
Another 2 months of summer is behind us, and the 'ber' months start tomorrow. If you need autumn decorating ideas look no further than Instagram; there's plenty of home decor accounts where autumn is already in overboard mode (insert eye roll & sigh).
JULY
So, how was your Independence day celebration? Ours was uneventful, which is good.
As mentioned in June, our daughter came to visit and help me with some of my projects. One of those was painting the kitchen cabinets. It was so great having her here! Thank you, sweetie 😘

Our grandson went home the 19th of July. He decided to stay a little longer. :)
We had 3 birthdays this month and one heavenly birthday. DH turned 61, oldest grandson turned 22, and granddaughter turned 12. My daddy would have turned 102.
JULY PROJECT UPDATE
- I'm in the process of making some changes to the guest/office.
- The kitchen cabinets are painted (Thank you again "L")
- The kitchen is 95% complete. I really want to refinish the kitchen table but it needs to cool down some before I start that.
- We still have a few outside projects...but it’s too hot!
AUGUST PROJECT UPDATE
- Still tweaking the kitchen.
- Made some minor changes in the dining room.
- Still working on the guest/ office room. Cleaning out the closet has been a real chore!
JULY GARDEN NOTES
- Oh boy did the heat and lack of rain (even with watering) do a number on some of my plants/flowers : (
- My Cucumbers, well lets just say...they went to 💩
- My flowers and cherry tomatoes are going crazy!
AUGUST GARDEN NOTES:
- My tomatoes started rotting before ripening, so out they came 😔
- My zinnias are still going strong, especially after deadheading them and rain! But they will be coming out soon.
