HOME & LIFE

🌹Happy belated Mother's day to all you mommas out there! 🌹

I have decided to slow down on posting. Trying to come up with weekly content can be a little daunting. So, this is what will be happening with my blog...
  • What I've Read will no longer be a separate post.  It will be part of my newsletter starting in June!
  • A Note from Tina will still be published on the last day of the month.
When I have content this is what the schedule will be...
  • MONDAY: health and wellness updates
  • TUESDAY: home tour, reveals
  • WEDNESDAY: re-use it, thrift/antique finds
  • THURSDAY: recipes, meal plan(?)
  • FRIDAY: diy, decorating, other

I really do appreciate you being here ❤️

Speaking of mothers day, how was everyone's?  Mine was low key; I stained one dining room chair while DH painted my front porch bench and got the post for our new bird feeder in.  Oh, and my youngest son bought me a slushy maker!

We celebrated 2 birthdays this month, my daughter turned 39 and mom to our middle grandson, turned 36.

My sister and I went to watch the 'World Ballet Company' perform "Swan Lake".  We really enjoyed it.  It had been a long time since we've done something like that.  Before the 💩 hit the fan between 2020 and 2023, my momma, sister and I would go to concerts and shows, we'd have so much fun!

We're still chipping away at our home project list. Got all the light switches replaced with These.  Finished the wallpaper in bedroom #4, hung new curtains, and painted the kitchen walls.

How was your Memorial weekend?  Rainy! We worked on a few things,  went grocery shopping and just hung out.

What I'm Wearing: these shorts are similar to the sweatpants I ordered this past winter.  I also bought a couple pairs of these Shorts.  These Chintz rose floral sleep pants w/This tank.  I ordered this Shirt in blue and pink.

Garden Notes:

The rain we got this month has most of my garden and plants growing like crazy! My lavender has buds but isn't getting fuller. The oregano and rosemary are really filling out. Cucumbers and cherry tomatoes are flowering.  And my strawberry plant is producing strawberries BUT ants are eating them before they are ripe enough to pick!

AROUND THE WEB

  • Ran across this article 10 beautiful flowers that look lovely but smell terrible  one of the flowers mentioned is the Bradford Pear. We have 3 in our yard, when in full bloom (they do stink) our sweet Bella (r.i.p) would find the lowest hanging limb to smell, she loved them!
I miss her so much 😢

  • Small garden ideas Here
  • 15 historic homes to visit.  I've toured 2 of the homes on this list,  the Breakers & Biltmore (visited this one several times)

BOOKS

I added 3 hardcover books to my 'I need to read' stack.
