A lthough I love the crispness of winter & snow....(even though in my neck of the woods here in NC...snow comes maybe once a season and stays for two to three days)...you would think after being stationed in Alaska (which in my opinion is one of the pretties places on earth), Illinois, & Wisconsin I wouldn't be like that, but I am. Well, I was that way until last year (we had a rainy winter last year YUCK) and this year...well...I love watching the dogs and grandbabies play in the snow......
Just like me....many of you out there are longing for the green grass, those wonderful pops of color to start appearing......the relief of not having to wear 2 to 3 layers of clothes........days getting longer....the birds chirping, bees buzzing, frogs croaking......the awakening of the world around you...in other words spring fever!
If that doesn't make you long for spring, I don't know what will!
Enjoy your day,
Tina ♡

Waiting for Spring
Biltmore House Azalea Garden |
my oldest grandson and our nephews puppy |
my youngest grandbaby |
So, with this in mind I will leave you with this poem by William Wordsworth...
Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed--and gazed--but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
