What We've Been Up To 


Can you believe we're at the end of the first of the 'Ber months?  This year is going by so fast, but sometimes the days seem to go so slow! You know what I mean? 

Our Labor day weekend was filled with projects being worked on and that was it. What about yours?

 I haven't gotten sick in like  8+ years,  but I caught one hell of  a cold and spent the week after Labor day trying to get rid of it, ugh! But one of the wonderful things menopause dumps on you are allergies, that may or may not stick around once you're post-menopause (which I am), with the rag weed blooming the itchy eyes, sneezing and nasal drip stuck around for a while! I am thankful that my allergies aren't as bad as DH'S! 

We only had one celebration this month. DH and I celebrated our 40th anniversary! It doesn't really seem like 40 years! 

This past Friday we took a quick road trip to the Libertyville Antiques Festival and this is what I bought...


• The garage has been cleaned and somewhat organized. Being sick put me behind 🤧 


• The exterior of our home finally got washed. DH uses 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner, it's quicker than just power washing. 

• I've been removing some of my summer flowers so I can plant some pansies for the fall/winter months.

• Front porch got a few faux pumpkins for fall 

• Still puttering around with the master bedroom and bathroom 

Halloween is a month away, are you ready? We don't give out candy anymore, of course it doesn't matter, because a few trick or treaters will still come to the door whether the light is or isn't on.



• What do you think of this? 

• Where did all the humming birds go?   We usually have a pair of hummingbirds every summer, but this year...none 🤷‍♀️ I did see one flittering around Labor day weekend, but that's been it.
