They can be a little explensive but
one normal size package can feed a family of three with a little (enough for lunch the next day) left over.
We prefer the three cheese tortellini and have heard that the cheese ravioli is excellent also.
The great thing about this pasta
is you can have a great meal in less than 30 minutes...(longer if you make your own sauce) I try to keep a package and a jar of pre-made sauce handy.
So, this is what you need for this quick, yummy meal:
BROCCOLI TORTELLINI ALFREDO
prep time: cook time: total time:
ingredients:
- 1pkg (or more) of Buitoni Three Cheese Tortellini
- Broccoli
- either homemade/semi-homemade or jar alfredo sauce
instructions:
How to cook BROCCOLI TORTELLINI ALFREDO
- 1. Prepare pasta according to package, steam broccoli, and prepare sauce
- 2. Once pasta is finished, drain. I leave about a 1/4 cup of pasta water in the pot.
- 3. Add steamed broccoli, mix well
- 4. Then add pasta sauce, mixing well.
- 5. Place pot back on medium low stove and heat through, making sure to stir often.
We buy the cheese ravioli and keep it in the freezer. It takes about a half of a package for a big dinner meal. We make a spaghetti sauce to serve over it....with some Romano cheese on top! SO GOOD! We haven't tried this one so I'll pick it up next time. It's worth the money for the meals it makes and the convenience. I don't buy many convenience foods! But I've made ravioli and it's a lot of work! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI like a veggie with my pasta dishes, too. We usually have peas on the side of the ravioli. You're making me hungry for the dish you made!
DeleteThat looks really good. I've bought that pasta before, but always used the marinara sauce with it. I like the idea of adding the broccoli.
ReplyDeleteThis looks delicious - I love all the ingredients so would definitely love this. Pinning to try in the future. Thank you for sharing at Share It One More Time. Cathy
