Have you found a new to you author and would like to see all the books they've written in chronological order? Then head over to BOOK SERIES IN ORDER

The Peyton Place Murder: The true crime story behind the novel that shocked the nation. Author: Renee Mallet

  • Barnes & Nobles | Kindle | Audible - 4 hours | ☆☆☆
  • How many of you have either watched and/or read 'Peyton Place', author Grace Metalious? Ive both read & watched it. This book not only gives some insight & background about the author, who's definitely a character, but tells the true crime story that you would think was inspiration for Grace Metalious most famous book, but who swears it was not. How hard it was for female authors during this time to be taken seriously and a sort of 6 degree of separation between Grace Metalious and infamous/ famous people.
  • It was a decent book, a lot of what she wrote seemed like filler to make the book longer.

The Housekeeper: A twisted psychological thriller. Author: Natalie Barelli (narrator Susie Berneis)

  • Barnes & Nobles | Kindle | Audible - 8+hrs | ☆☆☆☆
  • "She's a liar. She's a stalker. She's in your house. When Claire sees Hannah Wilson at an exclusive Manhattan hair salon, it's like a knife slicing through barely healed scars. It may have been ten years since Claire last saw Hannah, but she has thought of her every day, and not in a good way. So Claire does what anyone would do in her position—she stalks her.Hannah is now Mrs. Carter, living the charmed life that should have been Claire's...Which is why when Hannah advertises for a housekeeper, Claire is confident she can apply and not be recognized...What better way to seek retribution—and redress—than from within the beautiful Mrs. Hannah Carter's own home? Except that it's not just Claire who has secrets. Everyone in that house seems to have something to hide.  And now, there's no way out."
  • The voice of the narrator sounded older than a 24 year old and that kind of got annoying at times, BUT, this book was actually really good, lot of twists and turns. Sometimes the dialogue dragged bit but I did enjoy this book.

When We Believed in Mermaids - Author: Barbara O'Neal (narrator: Susan Naughton & Kathrine Littrell)

  • Barnes and Nobles| Kindle  | Audible - 11hrs 55m | ☆☆☆
  • "Her sister has been dead for fifteen years when she sees her on the TV news…Josie Bianci was killed years ago on a train during a terrorist attack. Gone forever. It’s what her sister, Kit, an ER doctor in Santa Cruz, has always believed. Yet all it takes is a few heart-wrenching seconds to upend Kit’s world. Live coverage of a club fire in Auckland has captured the image of a woman stumbling through the smoke and debris. Her resemblance to Josie is unbelievable. And unmistakable. With it comes a flood of emotions―grief, loss, and anger―that Kit finally has a chance to put to rest: by finding the sister who’s been living a lie. After arriving in New Zealand, Kit begins her journey with the memories of the past: of days spent on the beach with Josie. Of a lost teenage boy who’d become part of their family. And of a trauma that has haunted Kit and Josie their entire lives. Now, if two sisters are to reunite, it can only be by unearthing long-buried secrets and facing a devastating truth that has kept them apart far too long. To regain their relationship, they may have to lose everything."
  • Some of the reviews on this book complained about the one narrator mispronouncing some of the words. It wasn't as noticeable as it was  made out to be. Although long it was an ok book.

That's all for this month. Let me know if you've read any of these books and what you thought...
Happy reading and enjoy your day! ♡ Tina
