We registered, had some coffee and doughnuts that were provided, received some information, and at about 9am, we were ready to ride. Our destination Landry's Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach, SC>
I did have a short video, so you could see what it was like on a ride
BUT
I forgot to add my name to it
sooooo
no video
:(
HAHA I fixed it. You will get a glimpse of me as I was turning the camera around to get a shot of all the bikes behind us. If you look close at the behind shot, the bike directly behind us on the righthand side of the screen is my middle son Junior. Hope you enjoy this little snippet.
We stopped in Tar Heel NC for breakfast . . .
OH! was it good
scrambled eggs
country ham
sausage
grits
biscuits
and a
beverage.
Look at all the bikes . . .

The cost

For a few days I didn't think I was going to go . . .
I was getting a cold!!
But . . .
come Friday I thought what the hell
cold
or not
I was going to go with DH and my middle son (Junior).
Our day started off at 730am with a ride from
our house to the
Airborne and Special Ops Museum.

we arrived at Landry's
Where we were treated to a wonderful free lunch,
a beverage
salad
choice of:
hamburger, chicken sandwich or seafood
and
desert.
While relaxing from the ride they held a raffle.
When the raffle was over,
so was the ride.
You could either leave or stay.
We decided to stay and walk some of the food off ,enjoy the sunshine, stretch our legs and do some shopping.
It was a wonderful ride.
I just wish the weather in NC would have been nicer
BUT
at least the rain held off until we pulled in the drive-way.
The unofficial count was
131 cars and bikes
about 267 drivers, riders and passengers
and just from the participants they raised around
$10,400.00!
We will definitely be participating next year
BUT
instead of riding back the same day
(our rear-ends were sore and numb)
we are going to get a room and come home the next day!!
Enjoy your day,
Tina ♡

Crafts Paint & Hobbies
I was going to show you a before paint and during
BUT
I left my camera within reach of my grandbaby Jacs
AND
they got erased.
Don't you find it amazing that as adults we need instructions to work technology, but a 14 month old can sit down for 5 seconds
and
POOF
it's gone.
:o)
Anywhoo . . .
This sweet chair belonged to my grandfather, not sure of its exact age but it is over 90. It has been dearly used by my mother and then me.
Unfortunately it is at the point where when sat upon it creeks, so I decided to not only move it, where no one is tempted to sit on it, BUT paint it red . . .
using Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in Tricycle.
I got a sample of the red with my order of white milk paint.
I first painted her with a thin coat of white.
Since I wanted the red paint to look like it wearing in places
and
that over time the paint had faded.
So I mixed the paint on the thin side,
then
distressed it.
Here she is in her new color:
As mentioned above I moved it . . .
Her new home is now in the master bathroom next to the tub. Now I just need to decide how to decorate her!
maybe throw a towel over the back . . .
or
hang the chalkboard sign (my daughter wrote that for me)
and place my grandmothers cameo box on the top of the magazines . . .
Unfortunately you will have to wait for the masterbath reveal in about a month or two!
:o)

Grilled Chicken Bacon Alfredo
I was looking for recipes several months ago and I came across Paula Deans recipe for Chicken Bacon Alfredo. Then I found a recipe on Pinterest that used grilled chicken from Plain Chicken. Well, I decided to combine the two and make my own concoction.
The family loved it.
GRILLED CHICKEN BACON ALFREDO
ingredients:
- 3lbs of skinless boneless chicken breast or chicken breast strips
- 1 jar of your favorite Alfredo sauce or homemade ( I cheated and used pre-made)
- 1lb of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 boxes penne pasta or fettuccine
- Italian seasoning
- salt and pepper
instructions:
- Cook bacon and crumble, then set aside. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon grease
- Cook pasta, drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water. Pour pasta back in pot and set aside
- Season chicken with salt, pepper and Italian seasoning, then grill until thoroughly cooked, set aside but keep it warm.
- Add bacon, alfredo sauce, bacon grease and reserved pasta water to pasta over medium heat, stirring occasionally until heated through.
- Spoon onto plate and then top with grilled Chicken.
